In this video we show how to improve a damaged solid wood side table using simple furniture touch up products that most people can use at home. This table had paper stuck to the lacquer finish which left an unsightly white mark when removed. Rather than a complete restoration, we use a few basic products to blend the damage and make the table look much more presentable.
Products Used:
• Aussie Furniture Care Furniture Restorer Oil
• Miller Dark Brown Scratch Fix Pen
• 0000 Superfine Steel Wool

Step-by-step we demonstrate:
✔ Colouring the damaged area with a Scratch Fix Pen
✔ Feathering the colour to blend with surrounding timber
✔ Using Furniture Restorer Oil with 0000 Steel Wool
✔ Removing excess colour and evening out the finish
✔ Buffing the surface with a soft polishing cloth This process won’t make severe damage disappear completely, but it can dramatically improve the appearance of timber furniture without expensive repairs.
